He has seen the city grow, change, and face new challenges alongside the families who live here. That long-term connection gives him a clear understanding of what residents actually need from their local government and why steady, experienced leadership matters right now. While others are new to the community, Ken’s decades of involvement reflect a genuine commitment to Victorville and the people who call it home.</p><p>Ken believes Victorville families deserve streets that are safe to drive and walk, parks that stay open and maintained, and decisions at City Hall that reflect the needs of the people who live here. He is committed to improving public safety, supporting local businesses, and making sure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and transparently.</p><p>Victorville is growing, and that growth needs steady leadership rooted in the community. Ken is running to make sure our city plans for the future while protecting the quality of life residents count on every day.</p><h5></h5>

As a captain with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, he has led teams, helped train the next generation of officers at Victor Valley College, and worked across agencies to strengthen coordination during emergencies and public-safety operations.</strong></p><p><strong>Ken is running for Victorville City Council because he believes residents deserve a city government that is transparent, responsible, and focused on everyday quality of life. His priorities include safer neighborhoods, well-maintained parks and streets, and thoughtful planning that ensures growth benefits local families—not just outside developers.</strong></p><p><strong>He brings decades of leadership experience and a commitment to practical solutions that put Victorville residents first.</strong></p>

<p>Ken Lutz has dedicated his career to public service in the High Desert. As a captain with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, he has worked closely with local schools, regional partners, and community organizations to improve safety and strengthen trust between institutions and the people they serve. He has also helped support law-enforcement training at Victor Valley College, preparing future public-safety professionals to serve the region with integrity and professionalism.</p>
